Through a series of engaging photographs, Sheila’s Busy Day offers a warm and authentic glimpse into the everyday life of a young girl from the Irish Traveller community. Celebrating Traveller identity, family and tradition, the story weaves cultural details – including Sheila’s St Philomena chord, Traveller jewellery, and cherished family customs – naturally into day-to-day adventures that children everywhere will
recognise and relate to.
This charming picture book provides an inclusive and accessible window into Traveller life, celebrating the diversity of Irish culture.
