We are delighted to announce that three 3 Little Island titles have been shortlisted for the The Week Junior Book Awards 2026!

Celebrating the very best books for young readers, the awards recognise outstanding books across a wide range of categories. We are thrilled to see three of our titles selected by the judges.

Cover of the Year: Oscar Wilde's Stories for Children Please vote here!
This stunning luxury gift edition of Oscar Wilde's classic children's tales has been shortlisted in the Cover of the Year category. Featuring exquisite illustrations by Lauren O'Hara and beautiful production details including gold foil, a ribbon bookmark and linen-effect cover, this keepsake edition brings six of Wilde's beloved stories to a new generation of readers.

Hobbies and Interests: Making It Up As You Go Along: A Children's Guide to Writing Stories
Patricia Forde's practical and inspiring guide for young writers has been shortlisted in the Hobbies and Interests category. Packed with advice from some of Ireland's best-loved children's authors, alongside creative exercises and illustrations by Mary Murphy, it offers everything aspiring storytellers need to begin their writing journey.

Poetry: The Brightest Star
Shortlisted in the Poetry category, Meg Grehan's The Brightest Star is the moving sequel to the award-winning novel in verse The Deepest Breath. This warm and reassuring LGBTQIA+ story follows friends Stevie, Chloe and Andrew as they navigate the challenges of starting secondary school, friendship and discovering who they are.

We are incredibly proud of all three books and extend our congratulations to their creators. We would also like to thank The Week Junior Book Awards judges for recognising these wonderful titles. The winners will be announced later this year. In the meantime, we are keeping our fingers crossed and celebrating this fantastic achievement.
